AI/ML Engineer (GenAI, LLM, Java) – Toronto, ON – Experience Required: 5+ years Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AI Developer to join the technology team and drive the acceleration of AI‑driven solutions. The ideal candidate should have expertise in AI/ML, Large Language Model (LLM) integration, workflow automation, and hands‑on experience in Java and Spring Framework. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and scaling AI agents and intelligent workflows to enhance product capabilities and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of AI‑powered solutions including AI agents, chatbots, and intelligent automation workflows. Integrate LLMs such as GPT, Cohere, and open‑source models, and enable advanced capabilities in NLP, decision‑making, and predictive analytics. Integrate AI capabilities into existing Java/Spring‑based applications. Collaborate with Developers, Data Scientists, and Product Managers to define AI strategy, roadmap, and technical requirements. Optimize AI workflows for scalability, performance, and cost‑efficiency. Leverage Oracle databases for data management and retrieval. Mentor junior developers and promote AI/ML best practices. Stay updated on emerging AI technologies and assess applicability. Ensure compliance with data privacy standards, security requirements, and ethical AI practices. Essential Skills

Strong expertise in AI/ML, generative AI, and LLM integration. Workflow automation and the ability to build AI workflows. Hands‑on experience with Java and Spring Framework. Experience integrating GPT models, Cohere, and open‑source LLMs. Strong understanding of NLP, predictive analytics, and AI workflow orchestration. Experience with MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, and production model deployment. Knowledge of microservices architecture and event‑driven systems. Oracle database experience. Solid collaboration and mentoring skills. Understanding of data privacy, security, and ethical AI standards. Desirable Skills

Contributions to open‑source AI projects. Publications or research in AI. Exposure to enterprise AI governance frameworks. Experience building scalable AI platforms. Requirements
