Pre-Planning Director (Trois-Rivières)

About This Role

Complexe Funéraire J.D. Garneau, located in Trois‑Rivières, Quebec, is recruiting a full‑time Pre‑Planning Sales Representative to join our Sales Office. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the candidate will promote and provide funeral and cemetery pre‑planning by contacting and meeting clients to pre‑arrange their funerals and discuss pre‑arranging cemetery products and services in the community.

We are looking to fill this position with a qualified, action‑oriented and self‑motivated individual who is capable of prioritizing and handling multiple demands simultaneously.

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Key Qualifications And Demonstrated Abilities

• Registration in or completion of funeral pre‑planning and cemetery pre‑planning courses in an accredited post‑secondary institution would be considered an asset.
• Passion for customer care demonstrated in previous professional experiences and a solid discipline for working in a customer‑centric service organization. Experience in business development, sales and customer success is an asset.
• Willing to demonstrate active community involvement and establish a positive profile of the cemetery and funeral home within the community.
• Highly focused on achieving and exceeding sales results and ensuring full compliance of all federal and provincial regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships with Cemetery Operations, Funeral and Home Office Centres of Excellence to achieve company revenue goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Work with various lead sources, contacting and visiting client families to assess pre‑arrangement needs.
• Communicate the Company’s Pre‑Need Funeral planning program.
• Generate lead sources by following up on all referrals, walk‑ins and mail drops, working with at‑need families to promote the after‑care program.
• Present to community organisations, arrange and host seminars and mall shows, notify agencies and special groups about the pre‑need funeral program and review all files.
• Establish and organise programmes and seminars at the funeral home, with guest speakers and arrange co‑sponsors of the seminars and programmes.
• Ensure all contracts are accurately completed, required signatures are obtained, copies are forwarded to appropriate parties and that files are maintained.
• Participate in funeral home and cemetery staff and management meetings, communicating regularly with all funeral home and cemetery staff to obtain and provide information on the families served or new lead sources.
• Other duties or special projects as required.
