Remote Indigenous Stimulus Text Author - Ontario Strand C&D (Contract Role)

Education Perfect is an EdTech platform designed to empower educators and amplify their impact in the classroom. We aim to enable teachers to personalize learning at scale with powerful learning, assessment, and insights tools, helping them and their students reach their full potential. 

We are looking for Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit) authors, educators and storytellers with lived experience to support the development of original, high-quality stimulus texts for our Ontario English Language Offering for Grades 6-9.

In this contract-based role, you will write original stimulus texts that are culturally authentic, age-appropriate and aligned to the Ontario curriculum. You will work closely with our learning design manager to incorporate feedback and refine drafts. All work must be original and not AI-generated.

This opportunity might suit if you if: 

• You have lived experience (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit), with a connection to community and culture
• You have experience creating original texts across a range of text types for education, publishing or young audiences
• You are responsive to feedback, are a clear communicator and comfortable working asynchronously

This project will commence late February and continue through to mid-May. We require a commitment of approximately 10-15 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate your schedule. Employment will be contract-based and payment will be based on deliverable items.
