Traffic Signal Design Technologist
SYSTRA
Focus on traffic signalization and street lighting design with SYSTRA Canada, using AutoCAD or Civil 3D in a remote workplace. Build transportation infrastructure documentation.
This Electrical Technologist role supports municipal or provincial transportation projects through detailed signal and illumination design. You will interpret engineering drawings, develop layouts and schematics, and understand electrical distribution systems. The position also includes coordination, records management, inspections, and contract administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design traffic signalization and street lighting systems
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Develop layouts, wiring schematics, and grounding details
- Maintain project files, drawings, spreadsheets, and records
- Perform subdivision inspections for assumption reviews
Requirements:
- Three to five years of illumination design experience
- Three to five years of traffic signal design experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or Civil 3D
