Parts Advisor

Chinook Equipment in Nisku is growing and seeking a Parts Advisor. The Parts Advisor will work primarily at the front counter assisting customers in various parts orders and rentals, as well as supporting our internal Technicians and Sales staff in getting them the parts they need to ensure overall customer satisfaction. We have entered into an exciting stage as we are now an authorized Bobcat equipment dealer, and want you to be part of the excitement!

Key Responsibilities of a Parts Technician:

• Assist all customers in sourcing and ordering parts in a friendly, professional and efficient manner 
• Take orders for parts by telephone, email, retail counter and for our internal technicians
• Provide accurate parts and freight quotes to customers and sales staff
• Inform customers of companion part requirements and specials
• Maintain effective communication within the department and with other departments/individuals in the branch (keeping them informed of the status of back-ordered or special-order parts to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs, etc.)
• Accurately process all customer transactions such as returns, orders, quotes
• Assist in parts driving/pick up and yearly inventory counts

What You Bring:

Parts counter experience in heavy equipment, automotive or working with a private/third party parts retailer Committed team player with the ability to work independently and as a teamExceptional customer service and communication skills including the ability to use tact, sensitivity, empathy and professionalism when interacting with customers and employees over the phone and in-person.Strong attention to detail with automotive/equipment systems aptitude and a demonstrated computer efficiency The ability to perform physical work which includes repetitive lifting of up to 50lbsValid Driver’s LicenseAbility to provide a clear criminal record check
