They have two young children, ages 1 and 3, who attend daycare full-time.This is a great opportunity for someone who loves working with young children but also enjoys the organization and household support that comes with a Family Assistant role.The weekday schedule is structured with dedicated household support time before transitioning into childcare in the afternoon and evening.Schedule:Monday–Thursday, 12:30 PM–8:30 PM + one weekend day (Saturday preferred)40 hours per weekFamily Assistant Duties :- Family laundry- Meal preparation- Grocery shopping and occasional errands- Light household duties such as: keeping the kitchen clean and organized, light vacuuming and general tidying including organizing toys.- Keeping children's clothing and supplies organized and fully stocked- Helping ensure the household is stocked and ready for the weekChildcare & Evening Support Duties:- Pick up the children from daycare- Provide warm, engaging, and attentive care- Plan age-appropriate play, reading, and activities- Support the children's developmental milestones through everyday play and interaction- Help with dinner and the children's evening routines- Work collaboratively alongside the parents during the afternoon and evening- While the parents handle bedtime, clean the kitchen after dinner and reset the home for the next dayTheir eldest daughter has a speech delay. Previous experience supporting a child with speech and language development is a great asset but is not required. The family is happy to provide guidance based on the strategies and exercises recommended by their daughter's therapists.The Ideal Candidate:- Warm, engaging, patient, and confident with toddlers- Knowledgeable about early childhood development and developmental milestones- Proactive and able to anticipate what needs to be done- Organized and comfortable balancing childcare with household responsibilities- Comfortable working collaboratively alongside parents- Interested in becoming a consistent, long-term part of the family's life- Comfortable following guidance from the child's therapists and reinforcing strategies at home- Reliable and punctual- Comfortable in a fragrance-free homeApply NowOnly candidates in Canada will be considered.
