Job Responsibility:
Established in 1990, Oceanside Equipment Limited specializes in the global distribution and manufacturing of rigging equipment, as well as the design, engineering, supply, installation, and storage of certified mooring connector systems for the marine and offshore industries. With locations in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, and Mount Pearl, Newfoundland, we serve diverse sectors including marine, mining, transportation, and manufacturing across Canada. Job Purpose:
The Round Sling Operator will operate the round sling machine and assist in the fabrication and repair of synthetic lifting slings.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and repair synthetic slings and assemblies
- Operate round sling Machine safely and efficiently
- Coordinate the production of orders with the Production Manager
- Maintain a safe working environment, and ensure that fabricated items are Manufactured to Oceanside's quality standards
- Ensure that test samples of fabricated items are forwarded to the Production Manager as required
- Perform other functions as required
Job Requirements:
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Must be able to meet production demands and deadlines in a safe and timely manner
- Must be able to stand, carry, and lift up to 75 lbs on a regular basis
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship
