Position Overview
We are seeking two Senior Computer Application Support Specialists to provide first-line technical support at the Service Desk in Petawawa, Ontario. The successful candidates will support users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, manage user accounts and Active Directory objects, and provide technical assistance in a networked and cloud-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line service desk support and troubleshoot technical issues for end users.
- Troubleshoot computer systems, CPUs, printers, peripherals, and related hardware.
- Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting.
- Configure network software and ensure compatibility with relevant applications, utilities, hardware, and peripherals.
- Troubleshoot and support operating systems, communication protocols, and commonly used software.
- Manage and troubleshoot cloud-based applications.
- Perform user account creation, modification, movement, and access management.
- Manage Active Directory files, objects, and user accounts.
- Use online service management and ticketing systems to log, track, prioritize, and resolve incidents.
- Diagnose technical issues and provide timely solutions while maintaining strong customer service.
- Support the efficient operation and productivity of systems, applications, and peripherals.
Required Experience
- Experience working in a networking environment .
- Strong knowledge of commonly used software and operating systems.
- Knowledge of communication protocols and network-related technologies.
- Experience with first-line service desk support and troubleshooting .
- Experience providing technical support through remote connections .
- Experience with user account management , including account creation, modification, and movement.
- Experience supporting cloud-based applications .
- Experience with Active Directory (AD) file and object management .
- Experience using online service management/ticketing systems .
- Experience with EITSM Assyst is considered a strong asset and will be given preference.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
