Primary Care Registered Nurst

Reporting directly to the Director of Community Based Health Services, the Primary Care Registered Nurse position is central to improving health outcomes for First Nations communities. This position provides accessible, culturally safe, and holistic primary care services that respect both Western and Indigenous approaches to wellness in the communities serviced by Battle River Treaty 6 Health Centre.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities:
Minimum: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS).
3 to 5 years recent experience in primary care, public health, community health, or chronic disease management, preferably with First Nations clients
Strong knowledge of cultural safety, trauma-informed care, and Indigenous health principles, with the ability to integrate Indigenous ways of knowing into practice.
Excellent communication, assessment, and documentation skills, with the ability to provide nonjudgmental, client-centered care.
Knowledge of the organization (strategic priories, values, goals, services and programs), health care and First Nations culture
Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) Publisher, and technological platforms such as Microsoft Teams, WebEx etc. with a general aptitude for expanding use of software applications to enhance efficiencies.
A clear understanding of Primary Health Care
Demonstrated ability to handle highly sensitive information and documents exercising confidentiality, discretion, good judgement, tact, courtesy and diplomacy at all times.
Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility and adaptability to balance the changing needs of the organization.
Willingness to travel and possession of a valid Class 5 driver's license, work flexible hours, possibility of some evenings and weekends.
