Senior Application Developer at BMO

Drive impactful solutions as a Senior Application Developer with BMO Financial Group. This role requires expertise in COBOL and AS400 CLP, focusing on software implementation and optimization. In this position, you will conceive and write detailed software code to meet performance and security standards. Your 10+ years of experience with IBM AS400 and COBOL in an Ingenium PAS workplace will be essential. Collaborating closely with teams, you'll lead code reviews and design efficient algorithms while ensuring the overall system quality. Key Responsibilities:
- Write and integrate software code following best practices
- Design and maintain applications using COBOL and AS400 CLP
- Conduct exhaustive testing including unit and regression
- Optimize application systems while resolving production issues
- Lead and provide feedback during code review sessions
- 10+ years of experience in AS400 CLP and COBOL
- Familiarity with INGENIUM (versions 5.x – 7.x)
- Understanding of life-insurance application dynamics
- Proficiency in JIRA and Confluence documentation
- Strong communication and analytical problem-solving skills
