Job Requirements
Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
Current registration in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
Current Standard First Aid & CPR Level C.
Current Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check.
Knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA).
Knowledge of Indigenous culture and willingness to learn considered an asset.
Job Description
Wakanioten: Under the Rainbow is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our team. The RECE is responsible for the planning and implementation of culturally appropriate, age-appropriate programming that supports the developmental needs of each child, while ensuring compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act and Ministry of Education requirements.will contribute to a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment that promotes the health, safety, and well-being of all children.
Our program nurtures the spiritual, emotional, physical, intellectual, and cultural well-being of every child while fostering a strong sense of identity, belonging, confidence, resilience, and school readiness. Through relationships, cultural teachings, land-based learning, we inspire children to become lifelong learners who are proud of who they are and where they come from.
