Job Responsibility:
**Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse specialized in foot care to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. The LPN Foot Care Nurse will provide comprehensive foot care services to clients, focusing on preventative care, treatment, and education to ensure optimal foot health.
This position offers opportunities to work in various healthcare settings such as hospitals, assisted living facilities, and home care.
**Duties:**
- Perform thorough assessments of client's feet, identifying issues such as corns, calluses, ingrown toenails and fungal infections.
- Provide treatments including nail trimming, callus reduction and wound care.
- Implement personalized foot care plans based on individual client needs.
- Educate clients on proper foot care techniques and hygiene practices.
- Provide advice on footwear choices and lifestyle changes to promote foot health.
- Adhere to all regulatory and organizational policies and procedures.
**Experience:**
- Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Alberta.
- Certification in Advanced Foot Care from a recognized institution.
- Previous experience in foot care nursing is preferred.
