Responsibilities
- Build responsive, high-quality web and mobile UI components using ReactJS and Intuit’s server-driven UI platform.
- Develop experiences for web, iOS, and Android and integrate them with backend services using Java and cloud-based APIs.
- Participate in technical discussions, architecture and design decisions, code reviews, debugging, and defect resolution.
- Write tests, create test plans, gather requirements, and define technical specifications.
- Help maintain and improve developer tooling and CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with designers, UX specialists, backend engineers, and other cross-functional partners.
- Explore innovative solutions, including AI-assisted development, and share technical learnings.
Requirements
- Be actively enrolled in a post-secondary education program and have a graduation date after the co-op term.
- Be available for an 8-month, 40-hour-per-week co-op from January through August 2027.
- Be legally eligible to work in Canada for the full co-op term without requiring current or future sponsorship.
- Work from the Toronto office at least 3 days per week.
- Have experience building responsive web applications with ReactJS and knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Have experience with Java, object-oriented design, data structures, and core programming concepts.
- Have mobile development exposure through iOS or Android development, or frameworks such as React Native or Flutter; coursework and personal projects count.
- Be comfortable collaborating with designers, UX specialists, and backend engineers and solving problems through structured debugging.
- Be comfortable using AI tools including Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude Code, or Cursor while critically reviewing their output.
- Preferred qualifications include familiarity with Git, Agile practices, AWS or GCP, and open-source contributions.
