The Opportunity

Highspring is supporting a major technology transformation initiative within a large-scale, global trading and post-trade platform. We are looking for a Senior Programmer Analyst (C# / .NET) to play a central role in the design, development, and modernization of a strategic backend system used by trading and operations teams worldwide.

This role focuses on backend development for trade capture, position management, settlement, and regulatory reporting within the Fixed Income & Currencies (FIC) perimeter. You will work in a highly technical, performance-critical environment and contribute to the evolution of a proprietary front-to-back platform operating globally on a 24/5 basis.

What You'll Do

As a senior technical leader, you will:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy backend features using C# and .NET in a complex distributed environment.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives such as public cloud adoption, modularization, and platform modernization .
• Lead a dedicated technical stream within a large-scale transformation program.
• Translate business requirements into robust, maintainable, and reusable software solutions .
• Act as a technical reference for other developers and actively participate in architectural decisions.
• Work closely with business analysts and technical stakeholders across regions.
• Provide Level 3 production support , including debugging, performance analysis, and incident prevention.
• Participate in platform monitoring, observability, and proactive issue detection.
• Lead or contribute to technical workshops, guilds, and knowledge-sharing sessions .
• Operate within an Agile and continuous delivery environment , from concept through production.

Core Skills Required

Must-Have

• 5+ years of professional experience in C# / .NET backend development .
• Strong expertise in object-oriented programming and algorithmic thinking.
• Experience with multithreading (minimum 2 years).
• Proven experience designing and deploying RESTful services .
• Solid understanding of Agile development practices .
• Ability to contribute to architecture across multiple streams (cloud, monitoring, modularization, diagnostics).
• Experience working in production-critical systems and collaborative team environments.
• Professional fluency in English and French (spoken and written).

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in the financial services industry , particularly trading or post-trade systems.
• Knowledge of messaging technologies (e.g., NATS.io, MQ Series).
• Exposure to risk analysis, pricing, or FIC trading workflows .
• Background in low-level or performance-oriented development (e.g., C++).
