Role Overview Crew Chief (AME) based in Kamloops, British Columbia (Band 5a). Expected salary: $95,000 to $145,000. To determine the final salary, Babcock considers a variety of factors including the successful candidate's skills and experience and internal equity; the final base salary offer is at the company's sole discretion and is presented as part of a competitive total compensation package. Babcock is looking to expand its Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) AW169 maintenance functions. The AME Crew Chief reports to the Chief Engineer for the completion of assigned maintenance and repair tasks, while ensuring compliance with Babcock Canada's Maintenance Policy Manual (MPM) and the Canadian Aviation Regulations. Key Responsibilities Supervise and manage a crew of AMEs and apprentices. Create task cards and work orders, and order parts and consumables for forecasted maintenance in CAMP. Monitor consumable levels at the base and order required items in CAMP. Maintain, adjust, modify, test, diagnose and repair an aircraft's mechanical or structural systems. Work with specialised aviation and power tools, computers and diagnostic equipment. Conduct scheduled maintenance tasks. Keep timely and accurate records of repair and maintenance activities conducted. Carefully observe all procedures, rules and regulations when performing any task, and be thoroughly familiar with and use safety procedures and safe work practices. Use the appropriate PPE for each task and maintain a clean, productive work area. Conduct aircraft cleaning duties, interior and exterior (excluding medical biohazards). Work efficiently alone and as part of a team. Read, understand and adhere to the Safety & Health Policy Statement, the Company Occupational Health & Safety Manual, company policies and procedures, and the MPM. Use the company reporting system to report any hazard, incident or accident. Enter labour accurately in the labour tracking system for all tasks performed. Perform work in accordance with all Transport Canada guidelines and the MPM. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Good organisational skills. Proficiency in written and spoken English. Physical ability to sit or crouch for extended periods, and to walk and/or stand for extended periods. Physical dexterity to allow working in confined spaces. Ability and willingness to undertake shift work. Comfortable working at height. Eligibility for an Airport Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC). The right to work in Canada and/or holding or being able to obtain a Canadian passport. A valid driver's licence. Licences & Qualifications A valid Transport Canada M1 and/or M2 AME licence. Experience Experience working on a rotary-wing asset, ideally on Leonardo Helicopters AW-family aircraft, in particular the AW169. Demonstrated experience working on CAMP or other similar maintenance programmes. Experience leading a crew. Requirements
