Reporting to the General Counsel, the successful candidate will manage legal aspects related to real estate activities within the organization. This includes drafting, negotiating agreements, and ensuring compliance with current laws and regulations. Strong communication abilities are crucial for helping non-legal stakeholders understand complex legal matters. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage legal aspects of real estate transactions
- Draft and negotiate commercial leases and agreements
- Maintain updated legal precedents for transactions
- Provide advisory support on various legal matters
- Coordinate efficiently with external legal counsel
- LLB/JD degree from a recognized law school
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in legal roles
- Eligible for licensing with the Law Society of Ontario
- Knowledge of real estate regulations advantageous
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
