Human Resources Assistant

Nenqayni Wellness Centre Society provides mobile outreach programs to a variety of communities offering holistic healing for First Nations and Inuit youth, families, and communities in a safe and secure environment.

Currently seeking a Human Resources Assistant to join our team.  We have moved and are now located in town. The successful applicant will have a combination of education and experience.  This is a part-time position with the hours of 8:00am-4:00pm three (3) days per week.  Will need to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, BambooHR and excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills on phone, email and in in person.

Wage: $26-$29 p/hr

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Perform record keeping on all training updates and filing in personnel files.
• Meeting minute taking
• Assist with Criminal Record checks
• Set up new files, audit files and archive files
• Provide backup coverage for front office phone as needed
• Assist with accreditation activities and reports
• Assist manager with interviews and reference checks, orientation of new employees
• Handle other administrative tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational skills, both written and oral
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Must be reliable and able to preserve confidentiality
• Friendly and professional in all interactions
• High school diploma, certificate/diploma Business or Accounting with 2 years related experience

Others:

• Preferably the successful applicant will be of Indigenous descent
• A class 5 Driver’s License is required with reliable transportation, and
• Must submit to a Criminal Record Check at time of interview.
