OVERVIEW

Ridley College is seeking an Associate Director of Enrolment and Admissions to play a key leadership role within the Admissions team. Reporting to the Director of Enrolment Management & Admissions, the Associate Director serves as second-in-command within the department, providing day-to-day leadership, guidance and support to the Admissions team while also managing an individual portfolio of prospective students and families.

This role is ideal for an experienced admissions professional who combines strong people leadership with a highly relational approach to student recruitment. The Associate Director will help drive enrolment goals, support admissions strategy and decision-making, and ensure prospective families receive a timely, personalized and engaging experience throughout their journey with Ridley.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, training and support to Assistant Directors and Admissions Officers, including leading weekly team meetings and supporting the team in achieving established enrolment goals.

Manage a portfolio of prospective students and families, providing timely and personalized communication from initial inquiry through registration.

Conduct applicant interviews and evaluations, assess applicants using established admissions criteria, and make admissions decisions consistent with Ridley’s mission and values.

Work closely with the Director of Enrolment Management & Admissions to support departmental strategy, priorities, projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Use admissions data and key metrics to evaluate recruitment strategies, identify trends and opportunities, and inform decision-making.

Ensure the Admissions team has timely and relevant information regarding enrolment capacity, available spaces and wait pools.

Communicate with prospective families regarding admissions decisions and provide a supportive, professional experience throughout the admissions process.

Serve as an active member of the Tuition Assistance Committee and contribute to tuition assistance management and strategy.

Collaborate with the Communications team to support admissions marketing and outreach strategies, including digital and print materials and information sessions.

Represent Ridley positively and effectively at recruitment, marketing and community events, including domestic and international recruitment activities.

Build strong relationships with prospective students and families, colleagues and other key stakeholders to support recruitment and enrolment objectives.

Remain current on emerging trends and best practices in admissions and enrolment management through professional learning and networking with other schools.

Support other Admissions initiatives and projects as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in education, marketing, business or a related field; a Master’s degree is considered an asset.

Minimum of five years of progressive admissions experience, including demonstrated leadership experience, preferably within an independent school or similar educational setting.

Experience with tuition assistance management and strategy.

Strong knowledge of admissions practices, processes and standards, with experience using admissions software and CRM tools.

A data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze recruitment strategies, identify successes and opportunities for improvement, and recommend appropriate actions.

Knowledge of education systems in Ontario and internationally.

Familiarity with marketing principles, demographics, statistical research and standardized educational testing.

Knowledge of admissions criteria and standards at Canadian and American universities is considered an asset.

Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines concurrently.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage prospective students and families and build relationships across a diverse community.

Demonstrated ability to lead, guide and support a team while fostering collaboration and accountability.

Ability to represent Ridley professionally and positively at domestic and international recruitment events.

Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally and participate in occasional evening, weekend and activities during school holidays.

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS

This posting is for an existing permanent, full-time vacancy. The successful candidate will work 37.5 hours per week at Ridley College, 2 Ridley Road, St. Catharines, Ontario, L2R 7C3.

Annual Salary: $90,000 - $120,000
