Build responsible AI systems as a Manager, AI Engineer at Capital One Canada in Toronto, using machine learning and large language models.This manager-level engineering role supports Intelligent Foundations and Experiences, delivering AI-powered products for associates and customers. You will work with engineers, research scientists, technical program managers, and product managers across Capital One. The work spans foundation model training, LLM inference, similarity search, guardrails, evaluation, experimentation, governance, and observability.Key Responsibilities:
Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered productsDesign, develop, test, deploy, and support AI componentsUse AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, VectorDBs, and PyTorchDevelop LLM optimization techniques for production systemsShape foundational AI technical vision and long-term roadmapsRequirements:
Bachelor’s degree plus four years developing AI or ML technologiesMaster’s degree plus two years developing AI or ML technologiesFour years programming with Python, Go, Scala, or JavaSix years deploying scalable responsible AI on cloud platformsExperience designing, delivering, and supporting AI servicesApply your engineering, AI optimization, and research skills to foundational systems serving Capital One customers and businesses.
