YOUR ROLE
We are seeking a highly skilled Agile Leader with a strong technical background in software development to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in software engineering, a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to facilitate effective collaboration within cross-functional teams. As an Agile Leader, you will work closely with our engineering teams to ensure efficient Agile execution, seamless delivery, and continuous improvement. This is a remote opportunity within British Columbia.
YOUR IMPACT
- Guide and coach Scrum teams on Agile practices and principles to promote continuous improvement and high performance.
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Collaborate with Product Team to ensure the product backlog is well-defined, prioritized, and ready for development.
- Remove impediments and obstacles that hinder the team's progress and productivity.
- Support the team with technical decisions, code strategies, code reviews and designing solutions and integrations.
- Monitor and report on key metrics to track the team's performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Assure implementation of best practices to enhance the Agile process, development and tests.
- Support the team in achieving a high level of self-organization and cross-functionality.
- Facilitate effective collaboration and communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
THIS IS YOU
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certification (Mandatory).
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master in a software engineering environment, preferably within SaaS, fintech, or insurance industries.
- Solid technical background with experience in software development programming languages, database models, system architecture, or related technical fields.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
- Experience with Agile project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar.
THIS IS NICE
- Certified Product Owner (CSPO) or similar certification (Plus).
- Experience with software development, programming languages, software engineering best practices and tools.
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS and Azure.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Understanding of modern frontend and backend technologies.
- Familiarity with the insurance industry, health and wellness benefits administration, and/or insurance carrier data management processes.
YOUR COMPENSATION
At the time of this posting, the estimated annual base salary pay range for this position is $90,000-$95,000. Individual compensation within this range is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and education/training. This range reflects the annual base salary only pay and does not encompass our comprehensive total rewards, benefits, and potential bonuses that we proudly offer. - Workplace Arrangement: REMOTE, with occasional travel and on-site work required on demand. The location in the Metro Vancouver area and its alignment with Pacific Time are considered assets.
