Associate Pastor
The Montreal Chinese Presbyterian Church (www.mtlcpc.org) is a multicultural and multigenerational congregation with a core base of mostly English-speaking young families who are actively engaged in the ministries of the church. We are in search of an associate pastor to work with our minister to shepherd these English-speaking members. We are currently looking for an associate pastor for our English ministry.
FULL TIME / PART-TIME
Responsibilities
- Preaching
- Pastoral care/shepherding
Qualifications
- A person of faith, prayer, vision, and integrity who maintains a close relationship with God
- Strong biblical knowledge
- 2 years or more of ministry experience preferable, with a minimum of B.TH. or equivalent from an accredited seminary
- A willingness to come under leadership and to lead with humility
- A team player who functions well within group leadership
- Adaptive capacity and comfortable with change
- Good understanding of North American culture
- Fluent in English; ability to speak French or Chinese an asset
- Background check required prior to employment
In accordance with Canadian immigration requirements, Canadian citizens and permanent residents will be given priority.
