Volunteer Marketing Coordinator

We are looking for a Volunteer Marketing Coordinator with a marketing degree to join the team behind one of Calgary's most exciting multi-event fundraising campaigns of 2026.

This is not a coffee-fetching internship. This is real, hands-on, high-visibility marketing work that will put your name alongside established Calgary business leaders, community philanthropists, political figures, major corporate sponsors, and some of the most respected voices in Calgary's nonprofit and arts sector.

Your degree brought you this far. This opportunity will take you further.

What you will be doing

• Managing and growing our LinkedIn presence with a content calendar and strategy
• Drafting posts, stories, and campaign updates for approval and publication
• Supporting outreach to sponsors, donors, and community partners
• Contributing to the translation of campaign messaging for business and corporate audiences
• Building your portfolio with real campaign assets, real audiences, and real measurable results

What you will walk away with

• A formal letter of recommendation from campaign leadership
• Verified experience on a professionally produced multi-event fundraising campaign

About the campaign

The Mystic Moonlight Masquerade Ball and Gala Fundraising Campaign 2026 is a multi-event private fundraising initiative presented by Sol Vé Custom Events in Calgary, Canada. Four signature events running May through October 2026. Ten Calgary charities. 100% of net proceeds go directly to organizations serving marginalized communities. This campaign is rooted in equity, inclusion, humanity, diversity, and belonging for all.

Who we are looking for

• A current student or recent graduate with a degree or diploma in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. This is a must.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to write for professional and community audiences
• A self-starter who can work independently without constant supervision
• Someone who understands that great marketing tells a story and changes minds
• Passionate about community impact, the arts, and the power of purposeful branding
• Available for a minimum of eight to ten hours per week

This is a volunteer role. Compensation is in the form of professional experience, formal recommendation letters, real portfolio assets, and network access that money genuinely cannot buy at this stage of your career.
