In this pivotal role, you will review and determine financial risks on policies up to $3 million and provide strategic support to the Sales & Marketing teams. This position requires strong risk assessment skills and the ability to interact with various stakeholders, including reinsurance providers and junior underwriters.

Key Responsibilities: • Assess risk accurately for individual life and critical illness policies • Provide sound risk decisions to Sales & Marketing teams • Analyze medical and financial information for applications • Collaborate with reinsurance providers on retention risks • Coach junior underwriters on coverage decisions

Requirements: • Bilingualism in English and French is mandatory • 4+ years in individual underwriting, with 3 years at an intermediate level • Strong analytical, decision-making skills, and organizational skills • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal • University degree in life sciences, nursing, or kinesiology
