We are seeking a highly accomplished Senior Software Developer - Full Stack for an enterprise-level contract opportunity based in Toronto. In this role, you will take on a premier full-stack software engineering, web application design, and API architecture capacity, specializing in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale, multi-client web applications.

As a senior full-stack developer, you will bridge the gap between intuitive front-end user interfaces, robust back-end microservices, data pipelines, and relational database management systems. Operating fully onsite in Toronto, you will lead end-to-end application development using Java, modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular), RESTful APIs, and cloud-native integration tools. This position is tailored for a technical authority who can design scalable web architectures, optimize database performance, perform code reviews, and ensure solutions conform to enterprise development processes, security protocols, and digital accessibility standards.

Responsibilities
Translate detailed technical system specifications into working, fully tested web applications across the complete SDLC.

Design, implement, and continuously expand data pipelines by performing extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities.

Develop intuitive, responsive user interfaces and web page layouts using React, TypeScript, Angular/AngularJS, HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end practices.

Architect and build robust back-end application logic, microservices, and RESTful web services using Java, Node.js, and application servers (Tomcat, WebLogic).

Integrate front-end interfaces seamlessly with constructed APIs, ensuring optimal performance, speed, and scalability across client platforms.

Design, manage, and optimize relational database schemas, complex queries, and data-driven programs using Oracle and SQL Server.

Implement security gateways, authentication mechanisms, and encryption protocols, including JWT, OAuth2.0, and SSL certificates.

Create, manage, and optimize continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, build scripts, and delivery workflows in Azure DevOps.

Resolve and troubleshoot complex technical problems, software bugs, and performance bottlenecks during implementation, conversion, and migration phases.

Conduct code walkthroughs, design reviews, and unit testing to ensure software quality and alignment with enterprise patterns.

Author comprehensive technical documentation, including programming specifications, API guides, deployment runbooks, and workflow diagrams.

Qualifications
Core Technical & Full-Stack Requirements
Application Engineering Tenure: Minimum 10+ years of hands-on experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-client web applications.

Java & Database Mastery: Minimum 10+ years of hands-on Java development experience integrated with Oracle or SQL databases.

Front-End & API Expertise: Minimum 5+ years of experience with REST APIs, RESTful WebServices, React, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Node.js.

Security & Architecture: Practical knowledge of security gateways and protocols (JWT, OAuth2.0, SSL Certificates) alongside microservices architecture and design patterns.

Accessibility Standards: Proven experience implementing responsive web applications aligned with WCAG and AODA compliance guidelines.

DevOps & Agile: Practical experience using Azure DevOps, Git, and Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.

Preferred Assets & Specialized Experience
Framework Diversity: Working experience with RxJS, Next.js, Vue.js, or Angular frameworks.

Emerging Technologies: Knowledge of major architecture styles (event-based, reactive, message-oriented) or blockchain development concepts.

Public Sector Context: Familiarity with public sector development standards, processes, and governance frameworks is a strong asset.
