Imperial Tobacco Canada — A member of the BRITISH AMERICAN TOBACCO GROUP has an exciting opportunity for a Territory Manager in Airdrie and the surrounding areas.
The role is responsible for delivering commercial and consumer performance within an assigned geographical area. This will be accomplished by building strong customer relationships with retailers & staff and leveraging both commercial insights and digital assets to meet consumer needs.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Managing your territory to deliver volume and market share targets that contribute to achieving national, regional, and district-level objectives, through effective implementation of cycle activities for all of our product categories;
- Delivering an outstanding customer experience by leveraging digital tools and assets to maintain strong business relationships, train retailers and staff to effectively communicate our brands to consumers, respond to retailer and staff questions and concerns in a timely manner, monitor contract compliance, and deliver personalized customer and consumer insights to drive performance;
- Generating and maintaining market demand of our multi-category products by ensuring adequate inventory levels, attaining distribution targets, reducing OOS, merchandising effectively and ensuring a competitive price for the entire product and brand portfolios;
- Collaborating on special projects at the provincial and national levels with your team of Territory Managers;
- Driving performance in a highly regulated market.
What are we looking for?
Experience Required
- 1 – 3 years’ relevant work experience (ex marketing focused role)
- Previous experience in an FMCG or a global organization.
- Strong extra-curricular participation record (ex case competitions, academic student groups, sports teams etc.)
Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required
- Aspire to an experience which offers daily opportunities to learn and grow.
- Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong business insights, strategic approach, and account management capabilities.
- Energetic, driven and autonomous.
- Facility with digital tools and ability to interpret commercial data, identify business opportunities, and put plans into action.
- Ability to focus on a long-term objective, while capitalizing on short-term opportunities.
Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required
- Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business, or a related field
- Hold a valid driver’s license in any one of Canada’s provinces or territories.
- Possess the current legal right to work in Canada.
- Bilingual (French and English) - Knowledge of English is required because the role deals with customers and suppliers elsewhere in Canada and around the world.

Le rôle est responsable de fournir des performances commerciales et consommatrices dans une zone géographique. Cet objectif sera atteint en établissant de solides relations avec les détaillants et le personnel, et en tirant parti à la fois de la perspicacité commerciale et des actifs numériques pour répondre aux besoins des consommateurs.
Vos zones de responsabilité sont
- Gérer votre territoire pour atteindre des objectifs de volume et de part de marché qui contribuent à la réalisation des objectifs nationaux, régionaux et au niveau du district, grâce à la mise en œuvre efficace des activités de cycle pour toutes les catégories de produits;
- Offrir une expérience client exceptionnelle en tirant parti des outils et des actifs numériques pour maintenir des relations commerciales solides, former les détaillants et le personnel pour communiquer efficacement nos marques aux consommateurs, répondre en temps opportun aux questions et préoccupations des détaillants et du personnel, surveiller la conformité des contrats, et fournir une solution personnalisée en utilisant informations sur les clients et les consommateurs pour améliorer les performances;
- Générer et maintenir la demande du marché pour nos produits multi-catégories en assurant des niveaux d’inventaire adéquats, en atteignant les objectifs de distribution, en réduisant les OOS, en faisant du marchandisage efficacement et en garantissant un prix compétitif pour l’ensemble du portefeuille de produits et de marques;
- Collaborer à des projets spéciaux à l’échelle provinciale et nationale avec votre équipe de Directeurs de territoires.
- Optimiser la performance dans un marché très réglementé.
Ce quoi ce qu’on recherche ?
Expérience
- Une à trois années d’expérience pertinente (p. ex. expérience préalable en marketing)
- Expérience préalable au sein d’une entreprise de biens de consommation ou entreprise globale.
- Solide participation aux activités parascolaires (p. ex. concours, groupes d’étudiants, sports d’équipe, etc.)
Compétences techniques, fonctionnelles et de leader requises
- Aspirez à une expérience qui offre des opportunités quotidiennes d’apprendre et de grandir.
- Excellentes compétences en vente, en communication et en négociation.
- Solide sens des affaires, approche stratégique, capacités de gestion de compte.

- Baccalauréat en marketing, en affaires ou dans une discipline connexe.
- Titulaire d’un permis de conduire valide émis par un territoire ou une province du Canada.
- Être actuellement légalement autorisé à travailler au Canada.
- Bilinguisme (français et anglais) - La connaissance de l'anglais est requise parce que le rôle fait affaire avec des clients et fournisseurs ailleurs au Canada et dans le monde.
