Lead Java architecture and development at Citi, shaping secure cloud-native systems with Spring Boot, microservices, and event-driven platforms. This full-time role requires 5+ years of experience.As a Senior Java Back-End Developer, you will own technical design and delivery for mission-critical enterprise systems. You will build scalable distributed services, guide architecture decisions, and partner with product, security, platform, and SRE teams. The work spans Java, Spring Cloud, Kubernetes, Kafka, and infrastructure-as-code.Key Responsibilities:
Define cloud-native microservices and event-driven system architectureCreate designs, API contracts, integration patterns, and implementationsLead squads through discovery, delivery, production, and SRE handoffBuild Java services with Spring Boot, REST, GraphQL, and streamingMentor engineers and lead architecture and design reviewsRequirements:
5+ years building enterprise systems and Java applicationsExperience with Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, and Spring CloudExpertise in Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka or Pulsar, and cloud platformsKnowledge of SQL, NoSQL, Redis, CI/CD, and Terraform or ARMStrong communication, stakeholder management, and architectural leadershipShape Citi’s secure distributed platforms through Java development, cloud architecture, engineering leadership, and reliable integration design.
