Casual Registered Practical Nurse

This Casual Registered Practical Nurse supports the Director of Care and nursing department in a geriatric setting. The position requires communication, supervisory, emergency management, and added nursing skills. Responsibilities include resident assessments, medication administration, personal care, documentation, and care planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with planning and evaluating overall resident care quality
• Complete nursing assessments and monitor residents’ well-being
• Administer, supervise, order, and store medications and treatments
• Develop, review, and revise individual resident health care plans
• Direct, assign, and evaluate PSW/HCA work

Requirements:

• Current good-standing registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Medication Administration Certification
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification
• Two or more years’ experience, preferably in geriatrics
• Excellent communication and supervisory skills
