Our Financial services client is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to support a large-scale Payments Modernization initiative focused on Visa Debit implementation and digital payments transformation. This is a 12‑month contract with the possibility of extensions, 35 hours per week, Remote – BC & ON (PST hours).

Must Have

• 8+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst within Financial Services or Banking environments
• Proven experience supporting end‑to‑end payment transformation or card/payment implementation projects, including Visa Debit, Mastercard Debit, co‑badged debit card programs, Interac e‑Transfer, Real‑Time Rails (RTR) payment modernization initiatives
• Experience leading requirements gathering and technical requirements elicitation across large, cross‑functional enterprise initiatives involving multiple stakeholder groups, vendors, and internal technology teams
• Strong understanding of payment ecosystems, including Interac vs Visa payment rails, domestic and international debit processing, online debit payment capabilities, and API/integration impacts across banking systems
• Solid ability to collaborate with enterprise architects, integration teams, data platform teams, vendors, and business stakeholders
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments using Jira and/or Azure DevOps
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and fast‑paced delivery environments
• Candidate must come from a software development background

Nice to Have

• Experience working on digital banking or payments modernization programs within credit unions or Canadian financial institutions
• Knowledge of Real‑Time Rails (RTR), Interac modernization, or emerging payment technologies
• IIBA certification (CBAP/CCBA) and/or Agile certification
• Experience supporting API integrations and enterprise payment platform transformations
