Interior Health is seeking an experienced casual Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) Treatment, Support & Recovery Clinician to join our MHSU team at the Nelson Health Centre in Nelson, B.C.Who are we looking for?The ideal candidate will have strong assessment and counselling skills and possess a human caring and relationship centred approach to practice.If you are a dynamic, experienced clinician, motivated to be challenged professionally, have excellent interpersonal skills and aspire to create long term roots in a small-town setting, this is the career for you.What we offer Competitive salary and an attractive remuneration package Career Growth Employer paid training/education Balanced lifestyle What will you work on?The Treatment, Support & Recovery Clinician functions as a member of the larger Hospitals & Communities Integrated Services (HCIS) health care team and as a member of a specific MHSU multi-disciplinary team whose purpose is to ensure that persons with severe and persistent mental health problems and/or problematic substance use issues have access to timely, responsive, evidence based treatment and clinical supports across the continuum of available services.The Treatment, Support & Recovery Clinician provides, at the advanced practice level, assessment, treatment, case management and, as required, urgent response to the most complex clients, frequently with co-occurring disorders, who may also have serious functional impairment in the domains of physical health and personal, family, financial, occupational, and social life. The Treatment, Support & Recovery Clinician functions as a primary clinician utilizing a variety of specialized treatment modalities/therapies for individuals, groups of clients and/or their families.Scheduling InformationShifts of work will be Monday to Friday from 08:30-16:30 hours. This is a Casual opportunity. Casual means there are no guaranteed hours and work requirements can vary from 0 - 37.5 hours per week.
