Junior EGSE and Test Engineer - 12 Month Mandate

We’re on the hunt for a Junior EGSE and Test Engineer on our Satellite systems team at our Montreal office.
This is a 12 month contract and will support irregular business hours to support production operations.
Role
Motivated and talented EGSE and Test Engineer in our Electrical Ground Support Equipment and Test Data Processing department at our Sainte‑Anne‑de‑Bellevue office.
The candidate will participate in the development of test equipment and support testing of satellite electronic units.
Tasks
- Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams for the development of test equipment used for testing satellite electronic units;
- Support testing of satellite electronic units;
- Be part of an engineering team specializing in test equipment, otherwise called electrical ground support equipment (EGSE);
- Design and support manufacturing of electrical test equipment and cable harnesses;
- Produce design documentation such as electrical diagrams, assembly drawings, bill of materials, etc.;
- Assist engineering in analyses and writing of test procedures;
- Support procurement, manufacturing and validation of test equipment;
Experience and Skills Required
- B.Sc. or equivalent in Electrical Engineering;
- 0 to 2 years of experience;
- Hands‑on experience in electronic design;
- Skills in printed circuit board (PCB) design;
- Ability to work autonomously and in a collaborative team, strong teamwork and interpersonal skills;
- Interest in laboratory work.
Assets
- Diptrace or equivalent PCB CAD tool;
- Knowledge of stepper motors and drives;
- Knowledge of Python or VBA;
- Knowledge of microcomputers (Raspberry Pi / Arduino);
- Knowledge of PSoC programming;
- Microsoft Office suite and Visio;
- Good verbal and written communication skills ideally both in English and French (contact with customers outside Quebec).
Special Requirements
Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
