Senior Mining Geotechnical Engineer

Lead mine waste and water projects from KCB’s Vancouver office, applying geotechnical design expertise, dam safety knowledge, and critical thinking.As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will support local and international mining and resource projects. Your work will cover tailings, water dams, and waste storage through planning, investigation, assessment, design, and construction. You will collaborate across disciplines while developing practical solutions for mining clients.Key Responsibilities:
Lead civil and geotechnical designs for mine waste projectsParticipate in dam safety inspections and reviewsPrepare technical reports, proposals, and project documentationCoordinate engineering disciplines for well rounded client solutionsMentor and train junior staff in geotechnical expertiseRequirements:
Degree in civil or geotechnical engineering10+ years of civil or geotechnical project experienceEligibility to register as a professional engineer in CanadaWorking knowledge of PLAXIS, FLAC, and SLOPE/WExperience with geohazard assessments, investigations, design, and construction administrationApply your mine waste, dam engineering, and client collaboration experience across KCB’s Vancouver-based mining practice.
