Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an experienced GIS Test Lead to support a major GIS program within a large utilities environment. This role will lead end-to-end testing activities for GIS systems and their integrations with other enterprise platforms.
- Lead the overall GIS testing strategy, planning, and execution across multiple project phases.
- Develop and manage test plans, test cases, test scripts, and traceability matrices.
- Oversee functional, system integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Validate GIS data quality, network models, and spatial accuracy.
- Coordinate testing for integrations between GIS and utility systems such as OMS, ADMS, EAM, CIS, and mobile workforce solutions.
- Work closely with business SMEs, GIS analysts, developers, and vendors to define test scenarios and expected outcomes.
- Lead defect triage, root cause analysis, and resolution tracking.

Skills and Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in software/system testing.
- Hands‑on experience testing GIS platforms (e.g., Esri OR ArcGIS, OR ArcFM, OR Smallworld, or similar).
- Experience with system integrations involving GIS and enterprise applications.
- Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., JIRA, OR Azure DevOps, OR HP ALM, OR TestRail).
- Strong knowledge of SDLC and QA methodologies, including Agile and hybrid delivery models.
- Experience working in the utilities industry (electric, gas, or water).
- Strong understanding of utility network models (distribution, transmission, or asset networks).
