Bookkeeper

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting functions, and supporting the financial health of our organization. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records and general ledgers.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan statements.
Prepare and process payroll, including government remittances.
Complete monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting.
Prepare GST/PST/HST filings and other regulatory submissions.
Assist with budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and financial analysis.
Coordinate with external accountants during audits and year-end reporting.
Maintain confidential financial information and records.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Qualifications
Minimum 35 years of bookkeeping experience.
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
Strong knowledge of payroll processing and Canadian tax regulations.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications
Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB) designation or equivalent.
Experience working in construction, manufacturing, modular construction, or a related industry.
Familiarity with project costing and job-cost accounting.
Must have own Transportation
