Lead mechanical building design in Edmonton as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, using Revit, AutoCAD, and HAP or similar load software on-site.Design Works Engineering seeks a senior engineer to serve as mechanical authority across commercial, institutional, and residential projects. You will lead heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and controls while coordinating with in-house disciplines. The position includes technical leadership, mentoring, and client representation.Key Responsibilities:
Lead mechanical scope through every project phaseReview load calculations, drawings, specifications, and design documentsMentor intermediate and junior engineers and designersImprove mechanical standards, procedures, and QA/QC practicesSupport construction and resolve field issuesRequirements:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineeringAPEGA P.Eng. registration in good standing8+ years designing mechanical building systemsSenior or lead experience mentoring and reviewing workProficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and HAP or similar softwareBring senior mechanical design leadership, Alberta code knowledge, and client confidence to Design Works Engineering’s Edmonton team.
