Single Mother's Helper in Shawnigan Lake

I’m a busy single mom in Shawnigan Lake looking for a kind, capable, and dependable mother’s helper to support our home part-time. I work full-time from home and have two active children, so I’m hoping to find someone who can help make our weekdays run more smoothly and create a calmer transition between work and family time. This is a live-out, part-time position starting around September 8, 2026, with shifts needed in the middle of the weekday between 1-5pm, starting with twice a week to start. The role involves caring for my two children, who are in the 6–9 and 10+ age groups, while also helping with household tasks that keep our home organized and running well. Duties may include, not limited to:

• Washing dishes, wiping counters and stovetops
• Cooking
• Transporting children
• Helping with homework
• Afterschool activities
• Grocery shopping and errands
• Making beds, tidying up clutter
• Sweeping/vacuuming/moping
• Dusting surfaces
• Watering the garden
• Walking the dog
• Taking out trash/compost/recycling
• Cleaning the bathroom, wiping down bathroom sinks and counters
• Laundry (washing, folding, putting away)

I would especially appreciate someone who is organized, helpful, and comfortable supporting a health-conscious/holistic household, including following special dietary needs when required. A driver’s license, clean driving record, police and background check will. be required. A family car can be provided for use on the job as needed.
