Project Manager (Contractor)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Project Manager (Contractor) based in Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to support strategic digital platform initiatives in a collaborative, technology-driven environment. You’ll coordinate data mapping and integration projects that connect systems, improve platform capabilities, and contribute to better user experiences. Working alongside project leaders, data engineers, business analysts, and other cross-functional stakeholders, you’ll help turn business requirements into clear technical deliverables. You’ll manage project components, monitor progress, track KPIs, and help identify and resolve risks before they affect delivery. The position combines project coordination, data integration, stakeholder communication, and continuous improvement. It’s well suited to an organized and analytical professional looking to deepen their expertise in project management and digital technology.

Accountabilities:
  • Support and coordinate data mapping and integration initiatives, ensuring business requirements are accurately translated into technical mapping specifications and documentation.
  • Track data mapping activities, deliverables, dependencies, and transformation requirements across multiple platforms.
  • Document data flows and communicate technical requirements clearly to development teams and business stakeholders.
  • Assist Senior Program Managers and Project Managers with the planning and execution of strategic platform and systems initiatives.
  • Manage assigned projects and project components, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, documentation, schedules, and delivery milestones aligned with business objectives.
  • Coordinate activities across technical and business teams to maintain project momentum and resolve dependencies.
  • Track and report project KPIs, monitor progress, and support budget and resource tracking.
  • Identify potential project, data, and integration risks, escalating issues appropriately and helping coordinate practical solutions.
  • Facilitate meetings, maintain project records, and ensure stakeholders receive clear and timely updates.
  • Build effective working relationships with data engineers, business analysts, project leaders, and other cross-functional partners.
  • Apply project management best practices while continuously improving processes, delivery methods, and data integration workflows.
  • Requirements:

    • 2–4 years of experience managing projects or supporting project teams in a technology, data, or business environment.
    • Demonstrated experience with data mapping, data integration, ETL processes, or related data workflows.
    • Solid understanding of data concepts, data flows, system integration principles, and technical requirements.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
    • Experience coordinating effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical and project information clearly.
    • Analytical and detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to translate data requirements into actionable project solutions.
    • Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively when addressing integration or data challenges.
    • Comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced environments and adapting to changing priorities.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
    • Growth mindset and genuine interest in developing advanced project management and data integration expertise.
    • Experience in digital technology, platform environments, enterprise systems, or data standards is an advantage.
    • Additional knowledge of SQL, data warehousing, database management, data quality, or validation processes is a plus.
    • Project management training or entry-level certifications are considered an asset.
