How You’ll Make an Impact

In your current role, you will lead your team through a strong safety culture to deliver excellence to our client, a large retail food service operation.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully coordinate and direct retail food service operations for the site.
  • Lead with strong business acumen, client/customer service skills, and culinary expertise.
  • Direct daily operations, including working with the executive chef on menus and promotions, purchasing/ordering, inventory, and scheduling.
  • Manage financials for the retail program, including labour cost, food cost, inventory, equipment, and materials.
  • Supervise, mentor, and monitor supervisors; evaluate performance to ensure a high level of productivity and the best use of team member capabilities.
  • Ensure that the annual retail objectives are achieved.
  • Maintain operating standards and implement quality improvements.
  • Promote and assist in the marketing of the retail program.
  • Constantly analyze retail performance; identify efficiencies and areas of opportunity.
  • Ensure compliance with all Company and Client standards and Provincial/Federal Legislation.
  • Ensure compliance with all Food Safety and Physical Safety Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a busy hotel Food and Beverage and/or high-volume catering environment.
  • Experience with leading a team through very formal and/or high-volume catered events.
  • Experience in running and evaluating successful promotions.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced, team‑centric and safety‑driven environment.
  • Proven organizational skills and strong computer/technology capabilities, including Microsoft Office and Social Media.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with customers, clients, and staff.
  • Ability to work, problem‑solve, and provide solutions independently.
  • Genuine desire to provide customer service experiences beyond expectations.
  • Passion for food, people, and service excellence.
  • Desire to grow and learn.
