Job Responsibility:
Overview:
We are seeking an outdoor recreation operator who will be responsible for managing kayak rentals in the Campbell River area. As a pivotal member of our team, this person will be entrusted with providing exceptional customer experiences while ensuring equipment maintenance. The goal is to help create a memorable and joyful experience for all.
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service, guiding customers through rental procedures, safety guidelines, and equipment fittings
- Conduct routine inspections and repairs of the kayak fleet, ensuring cleanliness and optimal functionality
- Instruct customers on proper kayak usage, emphasizing safety protocols and emergency procedures
- Monitor weather conditions and enforce safety regulations for both water and land activities
- Process rental transactions accurately, handling cash or electronic payments
- Provide information on rental rates, packages, and any promotional offerings
- Manage kayak reservations, coordinating with customers to ensure timely and organized services
- Implement an efficient scheduling system to optimize equipment usage
- Collaborate with the team to maintain the cleanliness and organization of rental area
- Assist in creating an inviting environment for customers
Requirements:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of kayaking
- Responsible, problem solver
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic computer skills for processing reservations and transactions
- Social media skills (Instagram and Facebook)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
