Lead gold metallurgy at BW Gold’s Blackwater Mine in central British Columbia on a two weeks on, two weeks off schedule. Apply plant operations expertise.Reporting to the Manager - Metallurgy, the Chief Metallurgist directs metallurgical processes, reporting, and team leadership. You will support commissioning, ramp-up, and regular operations through procedures, technical inputs, and reports. The position covers continuous improvement, production forecasting, cyanide detoxification, water balance, metal accounting, and process information systems.Key Responsibilities:
Lead safety standards, procedures, and systems across metallurgical activitiesSupport commissioning, ramp-up, and regular plant operationsManage metallurgy improvement projects and plant performance initiativesOversee cyanide detoxification, water treatment, and environmental complianceDirect production reporting, metal accounting, KPIs, and team developmentRequirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Mineral Engineering, or equivalent requiredProfessional designation or certification in a related area requiredMinimum 10 years’ metallurgical or mineral processing experienceAt least two years in senior supervisory workAbility to work remotely on a two weeks on, two weeks off rotationBring gold metallurgy, analytical problem-solving, and leadership expertise to Blackwater Mine’s developing processing operations in British Columbia.
