TalentWorld is recruiting a Tool & Die Maker (430A) for one of its valued partners in Guelph.

Tool & Die Maker Responsibilities:

Build, repair, modify, and maintain dies, tooling, jigs, gauges, and related components
Troubleshoot mechanical and tooling issues with minimal supervision
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, models, and specifications
Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances using calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks, and other precision measuring equipment
Fit and assemble parts using machine tools and hand tools
Operate Tool Room machinery and equipment safely
Assist with die changes using forklifts and cranes as required
Complete work orders and required production documentation
Perform material handling related to Tool Room activities
Work closely with production, engineering, and other Tool Room team members
Follow all plant Health, Safety, Environmental, and quality procedures

Tool & Die Maker Qualifications:

Valid 430A Tool & Die Maker licence
Minimum 4 years of related Tool & Die experience
Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred
Strong die repair, troubleshooting, modification, and maintenance skills
Ability to operate Tool Room equipment independently
Strong blueprint reading and precision measurement skills
Good mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Forklift and crane experience considered an asset
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
