As a Senior Manager, you will work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Your role is essential as a tax technical business partner to our clients, providing essential value to them while leveraging local and global teams in areas such as policy development and design, payroll, immigration, and automation. Your main objective is to be a trusted tax advisor to clients, including helping them to reduce tax-related risks while ensuring that both the organization and its employees benefit from a comprehensive global mobility program that adheres to relevant tax laws.

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Lead and coach Vialto teams, recognizing their strengths and personal development needs, while building an atmosphere of trust.
  • Act to resolve issues that prevent your team from working effectively.
  • Analyze complex ideas or proposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations for clients.
  • Use multiple sources of information, including broader stakeholder views, to develop solutions and recommendations to complex business problems.
  • Accurately review and sign tax returns and related deliverables for globally mobile employees within designated deadlines.
  • Offer specialized advice and strategic recommendations to clients regarding tax, payroll, and global mobility policy.
  • Work with Vialto teams, in tandem with clients’ finance and HR departments, to ensure precise calculation and reporting of payroll taxes and social security contributions
  • Offer specialized tax advice on assignment structures, leveraging tax treaties, and identifying tax-efficient benefits.
  • Stay informed on the latest developments in international tax laws and regulations and discuss relevant changes with clients providing advice on the impact to their business and meaningful recommendations.
  • Introduce clients to other service lines within the business to address cross-functional issues and collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (“SMEs”) for integrated solutions.
  • Conduct in-depth research on country-specific tax issues, particularly in areas where the organization operates.
  • Collaborate with clients to implement global mobility tax strategies minimizing liabilities for both the company and the employee
  • Recognize and actively seek out fresh business prospects within the existing client base, gained through a deep understanding of their changing requirements
  • Work to expand the client portfolio and nurture existing client relationships to drive revenue growth
  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify potential growth areas and opportunities

Qualifications

  • Demonstrates extensive Canadian & US tax technical knowledge and the ability to utilize technical skills in expatriate tax planning and global mobility policy and administration design.
  • Proven experience in growing revenue through the identification of clients needs and development of recommendations to address them, building and maintaining client relationships and communicating value propositions.
  • Exceptional skills in managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing, collections, and preparing and/or coordinating complex written and verbal materials.
  • Ability to create a positive environment by monitoring workloads of the team while meeting client expectations and respecting the work-life quality of team members.
  • Ability to provide candid, meaningful feedback in a timely manner; and, keeping leadership informed of progress and issues.
  • Knowledge of automation & digitization in a professional services environment including but not limited to: innovating through new and existing technologies, experimenting with digitization solutions; and, working with large, complex data sets to build models and leverage data visualization tools.
  • Proven ability to develop and negotiate appropriate pricing strategies with clients, including reviewing contracts and finding opportunities to introduce new pricing options.
  • Bachelors’ Degree
  • US CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent designation.
  • Minimum Years of Experience: No less than 7-year(s) of experience

  • This is a hybrid role, with an expectation of a minimum of two days/week in office.
  • Available locations include: Montreal, Calgary, Toronto, Vancouver
  • Compensation Range: $110,000 - 140,000 CAD

Description Du Poste

En tant que Senior Manager, vous ferez partie d'une équipe de solveurs de problèmes, aidant à résoudre des problèmes complexes d’affaires de la stratégie à l'exécution. Votre rôle est essentiel en tant que partenaire d’affaires technique en matière de fiscalité pour nos clients, en leur apportant une valeur essentielle tout en tirant parti des équipes locales et mondiales dans des domaines tels que le développement et la conception de politiques, la gestion de la paie, l'immigration et l'automatisation. Votre objectif principal est de devenir un conseiller fiscal de confiance pour les clients, en les aidant à réduire les risques fiscaux tout en veillant à ce que l’organisation et ses employés bénéficient d’un programme de mobilité mondiale conforme aux lois fiscales pertinentes.

Responsabilités Pour Ce Poste

  • Diriger et coacher les équipes Vialto, en reconnaissant leurs forces et leurs besoins en développement personnel, tout en créant une atmosphère de confiance.
  • Intervenir pour résoudre les problèmes qui empêchent votre équipe de travailler efficacement.
  • Analyser des idées ou des propositions complexes et élaborer une série de recommandations significatives pour les clients.
  • Utiliser plusieurs sources d'information, y compris les points de vue des parties prenantes, pour développer des solutions et des recommandations aux problèmes commerciaux complexes.
  • Revoir et signer avec précision les déclarations fiscales et les livrables associés pour les employés en mobilité mondiale dans les délais impartis.
  • Offrir des conseils spécialisés et des recommandations stratégiques aux clients concernant la fiscalité, la paie et les politiques de mobilité mondiale.
  • Travailler avec les équipes Vialto, en tandem avec les départements finance et RH des clients, pour garantir le calcul et la déclaration précis des impôts sur la paie et des cotisations sociales.
  • Offrir des conseils fiscaux spécialisés sur les structures de missions, en tirant parti des conventions fiscales et en identifiant des avantages fiscalement efficaces.
  • Rester informé des derniers développements dans les lois et règlements fiscaux internationaux et discuter des changements pertinents avec les clients en leur fournissant des conseils sur l'impact sur leurs affaires et des recommandations pertinentes.
  • Présenter aux clients d'autres lignes de services au sein de l'entreprise pour aborder des problématiques transversales et collaborer avec les experts en la matière (« SMEs ») pour des solutions intégrées.
  • Mener des recherches approfondies sur les questions fiscales spécifiques à chaque pays, en particulier dans les zones où l’organisation opère.
  • Collaborer avec les clients pour mettre en œuvre des stratégies fiscales de mobilité mondiale afin de minimiser les passifs pour l'entreprise et les employés.
  • Identifier activement de nouvelles opportunités commerciales au sein de la base de clients existante, en acquérant une compréhension approfondie de leurs besoins évolutifs.
  • Travailler à l'élargissement du portefeuille client et à la fidélisation des relations existantes pour stimuler la croissance des revenus.
  • Analyser les tendances du marché et le paysage concurrentiel pour identifier les domaines et opportunités de croissance potentiels.

Qualifications

  • Démontrer une connaissance approfondie de la fiscalité canadienne et américaine et la capacité d’utiliser ces compétences techniques dans la planification fiscale des expatriés, ainsi que dans la conception et l’administration des politiques de mobilité mondiale.
  • Expérience avérée dans la génération de revenus en identifiant les besoins des clients et en élaborant des recommandations pour y répondre, en établissant et maintenant des relations clients et en communiquant les propositions de valeur.
  • Compétences exceptionnelles dans la gestion des besoins en ressources, du flux de travail des projets, des budgets, de la facturation, des encaissements et de la préparation et/ou coordination de documents écrits et verbaux complexes.
  • Capacité à créer un environnement positif en surveillant la charge de travail de l’équipe tout en répondant aux attentes des clients et en respectant la qualité de vie professionnelle des membres de l’équipe.
  • Capacité à fournir des retours francs et significatifs en temps utile, et à tenir la direction informée des progrès et des problèmes.
  • Connaissance de l’automatisation et de la numérisation dans un environnement de services professionnels, y compris mais sans s’y limiter : innover à travers de nouvelles technologies et solutions de numérisation existantes, expérimenter avec des solutions de numérisation et travailler avec de grands ensembles de données complexes pour construire des modèles et exploiter des outils de visualisation de données.
  • Capacité avérée à développer et négocier des stratégies de tarification appropriées avec les clients, y compris la révision des contrats et l’identification d’opportunités pour introduire de nouvelles options de tarification.
  • Diplôme de baccalauréat.
  • Certification US CPA ou désignation IRS Enrolled Agent.
  • Expérience minimale : au moins 7 ans d’expérience.
