Nanny Wanted - Loving Family In Toronto’s West End Seeking Experienced Infant Nanny

We are a fun-loving, caring family in Toronto’s west end looking for an experienced, trustworthy, and engaging full-time nanny to care for our son beginning in late August / early September, when I return to work. Our little boy will be approximately 12 months old at the start of the role. He is a very happy, curious, energetic child who loves play, interaction, and exploring the world around him. We are hoping to find someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with young children and who will become a caring, dependable presence in his day-to-day life. We know how important this role is and are looking for someone truly exceptional to care for the most important person in our lives. We are hoping to build a respectful, collaborative relationship with someone who feels like a natural fit with our family. This is a shorter-term position for approximately 3–6 months while we wait for our daycare placement to open. We are flexible on start date and length of relationship for the right person. Ideally, we would love to arrange a gradual transition period beforehand so everyone feels comfortable and set up for success.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking someone who is: Kind, patient, nurturing, and highly trustworthy Experienced caring for infants and young toddlers Calm, attentive, and safety-conscious Creative and engaged with play, reading, outdoor walks, and developmental activities Comfortable working independently during the day Comfortable around dogs Infant CPR and First Aid certification are required. Your primary focus would be caring for our son. Responsibilities would include: Age-appropriate play and activities Feeding and simple meal prep/lunch prep for our son Managing naps and maintaining his daily routine Taking him on walks or outings as appropriate Keeping his play and eating areas tidy throughout the day We are not looking for housekeeping support beyond child-related tidying. We also have an older black lab who will usually be home during the day. She is very low-maintenance and mostly sleeps, but we would want someone comfortable with a large dog and able to occasionally let her into the yard.

SCHEDULE

Our ideal schedule is Monday–Friday approximately 8:30am–5:00/5:30pm. My husband works nearby and has a short commute, while I work downtown, so reliability and punctuality are very important to us.

INTERVIEW PROCESS

We plan to begin by reviewing profiles and conducting short phone/video interviews with selected candidates. From there, we would invite a small number of finalists to meet us in person at our home so we can ensure the fit feels right for everyone.
