Project Manager - Data Center

Based in Calgary, and reporting to the Province Director, the
Project Manager – Data Center
is responsible for the origination, development, and management of complex data center projects, including site prospection, community engagement, and permitting. The primary duties involve planning, coordinating and overseeing all aspects of the project lifecycle to ensure successful delivery, on-time and within budget.Key tasks include:
Understanding the development of data center projects in the various Western Provinces of Canada from the initial concept through to construction readinessIdentifying and securing suitable sites (greenfield and brownfield) or evaluate pertinence of existing energy/storage sites already secured by NeoenAnalysis of site factors and constraints such as grid connection, land availability, cooling, topography, and permitting approvalUnderstanding of the permitting, and approval processes at the various administrative levels (municipality, county and Province)Coordination of planners, consultants, grid operators, and authoritiesParticipation in the development of technical concepts and layouts for data centersClose collaboration with Neoen development, construction and grid connection teamsManagement of advisorsSupport in land negotiations and in structuring complex projects, andEngagement with local community and Rights Holders
