Photonic seeks a full-time Photonic IC Layout Engineer to join their British Columbia team. Drive innovation in photonic layouts for quantum computers with this impactful role. Bring your expertise from a Master's or PhD program, along with 3+ years in photonic layout design, to optimize and innovate large-scale PICs. Collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals to enhance the integration of cutting-edge technologies in the quantum computing landscape. Key Responsibilities:
- Design complex silicon photonic integrated circuits for scalability
- Implement custom design solutions and tools
- Collaborate with external foundries on integration issues
- Generate necessary software for design optimization
- Contribute to company IP through research and development
- Master’s or PhD in a relevant field
- 3+ years of experience in photonic layout
- Expertise with tools like Cadence and Mentor Graphics
- Programming skills in Python or MATLAB
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative abilities
