We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team, specialising in pediatric care for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). As an Occupational Therapist at TELUS Health Children Support, you will play a crucial role in helping children achieve developmental milestones, enhance independence, and improve their quality of life through targeted therapy interventions. What You’ll Do Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate sensory, motor and cognitive abilities of pediatric patients. Identify individual strengths, challenges and areas for improvement through standardized tests, clinical observations and parent/caregiver input. Develop personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings, focusing on therapeutic goals and functional outcomes. Collaborate closely with families, caregivers and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care and effective treatment planning. Provide clear and concise progress updates, recommendations and goals during team meetings and parent conferences. What You Bring Masters degree in Occupational Therapy. In good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists. Minimum of 2 years of experience working with pediatric populations. Strong clinical skills in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans and implementing interventions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with children, families and multidisciplinary teams. Great to Have Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures of various paediatric therapies. Sound clinical and professional judgement consistent with accepted models of practice, with demonstrated ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload and adapt to a changing caseload. Strong teamwork skills in the areas of mentoring, motivation and creative problem‑solving. Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience.
