Director of Labour Relations at GreenShield
Green Shield Canada (GSC)
Lead the labour relations and health safety initiatives at GreenShield, a respected Canadian non-profit organization. This hybrid role requires extensive expertise in negotiations, legislation, and health compliance. As the Director of Labour Relations & Health and Safety, you will shape labor strategies that align with organizational goals and foster a collaborative workplace culture. This position demands at least 7 years of experience in labour relations, strong negotiation skills, and a solid understanding of health and safety legislation relevant to the sector. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining compliance while enhancing employee engagement and safety at GreenShield. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a robust labour relations strategy
- Lead negotiations with Unifor for collective agreements
- Mediate labor issues, grievances, and conflicts
- Stay updated on labour laws and industry trends
- Promote employee engagement and support leaders
- 7+ years in labour relations experience
- University degree in Business or Labour Relations
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent communication abilities
- Proficiency in MS Suite and data analysis
