Ag Division Manager (Melville)

What You'll Do

The Ag Division Manager will provide leadership and accountability for the overall performance of Prairie Co-ops agriculture division, including sales growth, profitability, customer experience, talent development, and operational excellence.

Works closely with the Director of Ag & Energy to oversee the activities of Prairie Co-ops Ag Retail Managers to ensure effective location operations and to be responsible for sales, margin, expenses, inventory, and effectiveness of staff.

Works closely with the Procurement Manager to ensure that product is in the right place at the right time and at the correct value.

Assists in the development of each Site’s annual profit plan and analyzes Site operating report to identify trends and implements operational business action plans.

Analyzes existing and anticipated marketing conditions in the division and makes recommendations to be included in the retail marketing plan.

In cooperation with the Director of Ag & Energy and Marketing assist in developing and executing on a Customer Experience Management (CEM) strategy.

Provides effective leadership to ensure Sites are operated under legal, secure, ethical standards and that portrays an image, equipment, and Sites operations procedures in line with retail’s requirements.

Develop and maintain strategic relationship with industry partners, suppliers, Prairie Co-op members and community stakeholders.

Coach and develop Ag Retail Managers through performance management, succession planning, leadership development and operational guidance and support.

Other duties as assigned.

Ag is preferred.

You have 10+ years of relevant experience, including 6+ years of leadership, technical, professional and/or management of employees.
