Elevate your legal career with Prospeo as a Remote Senior Privacy & Commercial Counsel in Canada. This key role entails managing privacy compliance and contract negotiations with professional autonomy. As Prospeo’s first dedicated legal hire, you will report directly to the co-founders, handling day-to-day privacy operations across GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, and PIPEDA. Your focus will be on maintaining robust legal practices, drafting contracts, and advising the team on legal risks. You’ll thrive in this dynamic environment while utilizing AI tools to enhance your legal processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the privacy program and compliance obligations
- Handle data subject access requests and maintain privacy policies
- Draft and negotiate commercial contracts effectively
- Manage litigation and regulatory correspondence
- Advise on legal risk within product and marketing strategies
- Law degree with bar admission in Canada
- CIPP/E certification is mandatory
- 4+ years in commercial and privacy law
- Experience with GDPR and CCPA
- Proficient in AI legal tools
