The City of Salmon Arm is accepting applications for a Casual Recreation Receptionist Cashier Clerk at the SASCU Recreation Centre. Reporting to the Aquatics and Programming Manager of the Shuswap Recreation Society, this position assists in providing recreation receptionist, cash handling, program registration and various other administration duties. The Receptionist / Cashier Clerk performs a variety of duties related to the reception area at the Recreation Centre, requiring a thorough knowledge of public reception, municipal office and cash handling processes. The position provides recreation program registration and facility rental services to the public, including cash handling and balancing, clerical and word processing, correspondence and filing. The applicable candidate must be able to work weekend coverage and evenings. As this is a Casual position, the successful candidate may be called to ensure coverage for operations is maintained. Candidates for this position will have their standard first aid and previous administrative and cash handling experience. All other qualifications are included in the full job description on our website Remuneration for this position is in accordance with the CUPE Local 1908 Collective Agreement, $24.52 per hour plus 14% in lieu of benefits. This is a part time position with varying hours. Candidates will be required to provide a criminal record check. This position will be posted until filled.
