Director Strategic Communications Vancouver

Lead strategic communications, marketing, and digital engagement at Vancouver Foundation with onsite or hybrid work in Metro Vancouver. Guide clear messaging through organizational change.This full-time temporary Director, Communications contract reports to the Vice President, Engagement. You will lead strategic communications, content, digital strategy, and marketing teams while supporting the Foundation’s mission and priorities. The position oversees campaigns, storytelling, internal communications, donor materials, annual reporting, and external communications. You will also manage budgets and provide communications counsel.Key Responsibilities:
Lead overall communications strategy, messaging, and brand presenceStrengthen internal communications during organizational change and transitionOversee marketing campaigns, donor materials, and annual reportsIdentify speaking, earned media, and digital engagement opportunitiesManage communications budgets, expenses, and variance reportingRequirements:
Minimum seven years in progressively senior communications rolesExperience leading teams through coaching and performance feedbackStrategic counsel experience in media and change communicationsStrong communications, marketing, and project management knowledgeAbility to manage competing priorities across complex programsBring strategic judgment, change communications expertise, and inclusive leadership to Vancouver Foundation’s communications direction in Metro Vancouver.
